BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360
The award-winning virtual reality game that brings the young Beethoven to life brings the world-famous composer into our time.
The virtual reality game "BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360" has received the German Computer Game Award 2023, among other awards. It conveys classical cultural themes in an interactive and engaging way – for everyone.
We will be presenting the virtual reality game at the Tonhalle Zürich from 16 September to 6 October 2023.
This is how you can try out the game:
For school classes
The virtual reality game "BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360", combined with a supporting programme on the composer, is open to school classes. Registration via Schule + Kultur.
For concert visitors
You can try out the game in the vestibule before the following concerts. From 6 to 7.30 p.m. (except tonhalleCRUSH 5p.m.). The game lasts approx. 30 minutes. Admission only with a valid concert ticket. Without pre-registration.
You put on virtual reality glasses and land in the middle of a rap battle. In the middle of it all is Beethoven, who has to prove himself against an experienced battle rapper. Now it's all up to you: by actively intervening in the action, e.g. by determining different beats and rap lines, you support Beethoven as a coach. Together you will win the audience over. In this interactive world, you get to know Beethoven in a completely new and different way.
