Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Hauser & Wirth Zurich Join Forces

The joint series of concerts in the gallery's exhibition space will start soon.

The Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Hauser & Wirth Zurich are launching a new collaboration. Three to four times a season, musicians from the orchestra will give a short concert in the exhibition spaces of the gallery; they will put together a programme that relates to the works on display.

At the first concert of "classic meets art", the works of the Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere in the exhibition "A simple prophecy" will meet a string septet from the Tonhalle- Orchester Zürich. Richard Strauss' "Metamorphoses" will be played in a version by Rudolf Leopold - fitting for the artist's works, which partly refer to Ovid's "Metamorphoses". The setting will be a short introduction to the exhibition and the musical programme as well as an evening at the bar.
