Two hours with Jannick Scherrer, Social Media Manager

Never without your mobile phone: Jannick Scherrer shoots clips for social media with simple tools - and a lot of imagination.

10:50 In the communications office on Dreikönigstrasse: "This is my green screen," says Jannick Scherrer, unpacking a grey cloth. A short shoot with music director Paavo Järvi is about to begin. For a digital Christmas card, it is to be "cut out" in post-production and given a Christmassy glamour.

10:52 Short tour of the offices with the question of who could hold this "grey screen" during the shoot. Marta Lisik from Fundraising can, as can graphic designer Marcela Bradler.

10:58 But there's still time for other things. For example, to think about what question should be asked as a magazine puzzle this time. Perhaps something about the blueberries that our social media manager bribed Paavo Järvi with at the start of the season? Or something about that career swap clip that went down so well?

11:23 Change from Dreikönigstrasse to the Tonhalle, "I make this journey x times a day". The orchestra has a break, the stage is empty - a good opportunity to photograph the old cable telephone that is still used when the CD recording manager communicates with Paavo Järvi.

11:28 We bump into oboist Isaac Duarte in the corridor: "Thanks again for last week" - his daughter Jannick (who incidentally studied Japanese and is currently learning Portuguese) was interviewed about multilingual challenges in the profession.

12:10 Back to the office. There's an email waiting from Kirill Gerstein's agent: the pianist is taking part in our "Tram for Two" video series. Now it's time to block an appointment for Paavo Järvi, find topics to talk about, choose a tram route (not too long, not too short, no tunnels) and send the filming request to VBZ. It's easy, says Jannick, "they know us by now".

12:20 Another change to the Tonhalle, Assistant Conductor Julia Kurzydlak stands in front of the cloth for a trial run. Yes, that could work.

12:30 "What exactly do I have to do?" asks Paavo Järvi and presses his baton into Jannick's hand - she should briefly show him how she imagines it. He thinks it's good that she's being photographed for once: "She's great!"

12:38 While you're filming, you can also do a second clip, a preview of tonhalleCRUSH: "Paavo, do you listen to jazz?" Of course he does.

12:47 Back to Dreikönigstrasse. But before that, a quick stop at the bakery for lunch.
