Registration for the 14th International Film Music Competition
A springboard for talented film music composers from all over the world.
The 14th edition of the International Film Music Competition will take place on 1 October 2026 in collaboration with the Zurich Film Festival. Composers from all over the world are cordially invited to register for the film music competition.
This time, the task is to score the nine-minute short film "The Shyness of Trees" by Sofiia Chuikovska, Loïck Du Plessis D'Argentré, Lina Han, Simin He, Jiaxin Huang, Maud Le Bras and Bingqing Shu for symphony orchestra.
An international jury of experts will select three compositions from the entries, which will be premiered by the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich under the direction of Frank Strobel. The jury will select the winning composition on the same evening and present the Golden Eye "Best International Film Music 2026", which is endowed with CHF 10,000.
Deadline for submission of competition documents (score and audio files) is 2 June 2026.
