A fundraising event
The Dîner Musical is a fundraiser hosted by the Patrons’ Association of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. The event is held every two years and includes an exquisite dinner, captivating concert and orchestral interlude as well as an after-show party.
Sandra Studer will take the audience on a travel through time from 1868, the beginnings of the orchestra until the present. The orchestra and the conductor Rafael Payare will present the last 150 years with many musical highlights.
- Patrons’ tickets are available at CHF 600 per person, including sumptuous aperitifs in the foyer, gala dinner, supporting programme in the concert hall, and dancing/DJ.
- A company table for 10 persons costs CHF 12,000, including sumptuous aperitifs in the Foyer, a gala dinner, supporting programme in the concert hall, and dancing/DJ.
- Promenade tickets are available at CHF 150 per person, including an aperitif in the foyer, balcony seats for the supporting programme in the concert hall, and dancing/DJ. Order Promenade tickets

The purpose of the Dîner Musical is to finance the Orchestra’s special projects.
During the 2018/19 season, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich will not have a permanent Chief Conductor, since the designated Chief Conductor Paavo Järvi will take office only as of the 2019/20 season.
For this reason, we intend to invite more renowned conductors and soloists to Zurich – enabling us on the one hand to continue to boost the quality of the ensemble and to maintain its excellent standards, and on the other to give even greater pleasure to our audiences. However, a large budget is required to finance these world-class conductors and soloists.
Help us! Only with your support can we manage to bring the great names to Zurich.
Appeal for funds
Many companies support the Dîner Musical with a special financial subsidy or a donation in kind, thus contributing to the splendid success of the event.
This year, we are also looking for generous companies to support us in the form of services, decorative details, culinary specialities, high-quality wines and digestifs, etc. at our fundraising event.
In return, you will be mentioned and thanked in the special magazine published for the anniversary, on the menu and other printed event documentation.
