The ‘Pastoral’, as Beethoven’s famous Symphony No. 6 is also known, invites you on a playful, exciting and fun adventure into nature. Through a secret gate, the little boy Paul is lured by Maja, a forest spirit, into a world full of magic and adventure. Together they collect dust from butterfly wings, frolic with the fish in the water and explore the endless playground of blades of grass, leaves and flower petals. Suddenly, a mighty storm sweeps them away and shows them the world from the perspective of an eagle in flight.
The ‘ Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich ’ plays one of its most famous symphonies for you – Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral’ – whilst artist Anna Vidyaykina creates poetic sand paintings to accompany it, and two dancers encounter wonders both big and small.
