In November 2022, Georgian pianist Giorgi Gigashvili introduced himself to Zurich audiences in the Série jeunes. Now the 26-year-old returns as the soloist in Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major - one week after his compatriot Lisa Batiashvili, with whom he has already performed several times and whose foundation has supported him for years. Paavo Järvi will also conduct Beethoven's "Fidelio" Overture op. 72 and the Symphony No. 2 by the Swede Wilhelm Stenhammar: a work that is gradually developing from an insider tip into a favourite of many conductors.
