Johannes Brahms Doppelkonzert für Violine, Violoncello und Orchester a-Moll op. 102
Pause Robert Schumann Sinfonie Nr. 2 C-Dur op. 61
The Georgian pianist Tsotne Zedginidze, the American violinist Hana Chang and the German cellist Lionel Martin have a lot in common: they were all born in the noughties, have thrilled Zurich Tonhalle audiences with performances in the Série jeunes - and are now taking the next important step in a concert organised by the Orpheum Foundation. The foundation enables young talents at the start of their careers to perform with major orchestras and great works. In this case, the American Marin Alsop, a prominent conductor, is also taking part - who, after the two concertante works, presents another repertoire hit with Schumann's Symphony No. 2.
