Konzertfoyer
After a great career as a singer, Nathalie Stutzmann made her breakthrough as a conductor in Bayreuth with Wagner's "Tannhäuser"; two years ago, she opened her debut concert with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich with the "Tannhäuser" overture. And in her second appearance in Zurich, the first half of the concert is also dedicated to two excerpts from Wagner operas, with Christina Nilsson singing Isolde's famous Liebestod. In the second half of the concert, Nathalie Stutzmann will then conduct Brahms' Symphony No. 1: she also initially appreciated this composer as a singer - and has rediscovered him as a conductor in recent years.
