In the last chamber music matinee under the motto "Beethoven? ... of course!" we meet the young composer. Beethoven published the String Trio in D major at the age of 18 and wrote in the dedication that it was "the best of his works". It is certain that he was already trying to go beyond the entertaining framework in which chamber music was still predominantly played at the time. He was even younger when he composed the Trio for piano, flute and bassoon (or violoncello), which was unmistakably inspired by Mozart. Between the two works is "Frühlingshormone" by Liechtenstein composer and organist Marco Schädler, who once explained the original title with laconic charm: "I felt spring, that was my idea for the music".
