Under the motto "Alpine Resonances", this year's chamber music lunch concerts focus on Switzerland as a space of musical inspiration. Trio Sola interprets three works by composers who respond(ed) very differently to Swiss soundscapes: The string trio by our Creative Chair Dieter Ammann symbolises the innovative power of today's Swiss music scene. Paul Juon's warm and melodically rich work stands between late-romantic fullness and fine transparency.
Finally, Arthur Honegger's string quartet, with its emotional depth, dark colours and structural clarity, reflects a time of new beginnings - and at the same time anchors Swiss modernism in European music history.
