They are between 14 and 24 years old, fit on their instruments - and highly motivated to play in an orchestra. Young people have had the opportunity to do this since 1987 in the Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra (JSOZ), which is closely linked to the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich as a Junior Music Partner. It is conducted by our principal trombonist David Bruchez-Lalli. Anita Leuzinger - the principal cellist is also a member of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich - was already a member of the JSOZ as a teenager. To mark the 40th anniversary, JSOZ alumni and young musicians are now coming together to celebrate this special occasion.
