«endlich preisgekrönt» – 30 years of DuoCalva
After 2000 joint performances since their foundation in 1996, Alain Schudel and Daniel Schaerer are celebrating their anniversary with a gala concert at the Tonhalle Zurich. The two cellists with master and soloist diplomas have gained experience at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Zurich Opera. In their search for career opportunities, they found their way from the pit to the stage with their cello comedy. They have also been delighting our young audiences with music, humour and crazy ideas for many years. Inspired by the example of master cellist Jacques Offenbach to entertain with classical music, they developed a stage programme for their 30th anniversary with author Charles Lewinsky and director Dominique Müller with lots of cello music for adults. Children are also welcome at this festival.
