Charlie Chaplin's silent film "Gold Rush" (1925) is a classic - and more than that: various scenes from it have taken on a life of their own and experienced their own iconic cultural history. For example, the scene in which he eats his shoe and winds up the laces as if they were spaghetti; or the famous bun dance, which he performs both imaginatively and musically. Speaking of music: Chaplin himself composed some of the film music for "Gold Rush". Now Frank Strobel conducts the soundtrack live at the film screening.
